In her last published poetry collection, Alison Murphy shared the story of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus, and the hope that this brings. This collection invites you to put yourself in the shoes of some of the people in the Bible who had a face-to-face encounter with Jesus. What might they be thinking? What if it had been you? But we too have to find Jesus on our own life journey. What might we find if we have our own encounter with him? Let these poems both stir your imagination and encourage you on your journey. Alison has lived in Midlothian, Scotland since the age of four, but still feels the pull of her Ayrshire roots. An avid crafter, her handmade cards often contain some of her poetry and she takes great pleasure in creating personal keepsakes for her family and friends.

Christmas and Easter are a time for family gatherings, fun and memories. But why? This collection of poems comprises some of the author's favourites which were intended to be a gentle reminder of the reasons behind both of these celebrations. They were originally sent to family and friends in Christmas and Easter cards but it is hoped that they will now be an encouragement to a wider audience to ponder on the truth and hope of the Gospel.
